A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I am a mother, wife, veteran, and Edmonds small business owner with a degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.
In the Air Force I served as a Bioenvironmental Engineer, where I protected workers, residents and the environment from a wide variety of chemical, biological and radioactive hazards. I was recognized for my excellent ability to listen and incorporate community concerns into safety action plans.
After the Air Force and some cherished time home with my small children, I worked for twelve years in the Federal Aviation Administration. There I performed environmental impact analysis and community outreach for aviation construction and air space projects. My out of the box problem solving helped reduce conflict between diverse stakeholders and built collaboration for needed infrastructure improvements, all while minimizing environmental impact. In short: Cass knows how to get things done!
Currently, I serve on the board of Directors for the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce. I enjoy sailing and fishing here in beautiful Edmonds and I stay connected to my Polynesian heritage by dancing with a local Hula Hālau.
WHY I AM RUNNING
I want to serve on city council to preserve the Edmonds we know and love. I will utilize my business and professional experience to promote financial and environmental stewardship. I am a champion of collaboration who wants straight forward, ethical and transparent representation in our city government. I believe that together we can Restore, Protect and Invest in Edmonds!
